Kristina Erickson Hudson joined enterpriseSeattle in early 2006 as Business Development Manager specializing in Interactive and Digital Media Technology. In early 2004, Kristina founded the Washington Interactive Media Program, and brought this program with her to enterpriseSeattle. This was the first economic development program in the United States to be targeted solely at the video game industry. In September 2007, Kristina received the distinction of winning the Technology-Based Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Association.

enterpriseSeattle (formerly the Economic Development Council of Seattle and King County) is the public private economic development partnership representing King County and its 39 cities. Using their expertise, enterpriseSeattle’s business development managers provide confidential, free-of-charge information and assistance to decision makers and consultants. In just a short time Kristina has achieved great success fulfilling organization’s mission of creating, retaining, and recruiting high-value companies and jobs in King County.

Guided by a strong industry task force, Kristina works to promote, nurture, and grow the interactive media and technology industries in the Seattle area. By working with the print and television media, she helps to raise the awareness of the local industry. Early successes include articles in the LA Business Journal, the Puget Sound Business Journal, the Chinese Game Developer Magazine, and local television news stories. In the last couple of years, Washington State’s industry has grown to over 150 interactive media companies.

To help support the growth of the local industry, Kristina serves an advisor to educational institutions in addition to working with local governments to help keep a friendly business environment. In addition, Kristina has served as an advisor on several boards including the World Cyber Games Host Committee, Global Game Summit, Online Game Developers Conference, Casual Games Conference, Casuality, and the WSA Digital Media Advisory Committee.

Previously, Kristina spent 11 years with Washington State Film Office. She worked to market the state, and to bring film and television production business to the state of Washington. Some of her projects include A Guy Thing (MGM), The Fugitive (Warner Bros. TV series), Rock Star (Warner Bros.), The Postman (Warner Bros.), Nike, Chevrolet, Acura, Nissan.
