Newcastle is a small residential community located southeast of Bellevue at the interchange of Interstate 90 and Interstate 405. It has a total land area of 2,865 acres and ls located in the southeastern portion of King County. Once a mining area, Newcastle is now a suburban, residential community with a core retail center in the middle of the city. There is an elite golf course in the city accessible to many of the residents. There are many established neighborhoods close to the region's transportation routes. It is a short driving distance away from Seattle, Bellevue, Issaquah, Renton and the SeaTac international airport.
