Casual Connect Seattle brings together the most talented and knowledgeable experts in the casual gaming field to further the casual games industry with the best of networking and learning. Join us in Seattle, July 20-22, where an outstanding lineup of the brightest minds in the industry will dig deep into the nuts and bolts of the changing landscape of casual games and address the most relevant issues of 2010. Entertainment Industry Monthly Happy Hour Hosted by: WIN, Washington Film Works, NARAS, Seattle Mayor's Office of Film & Music July 28, 2010: 5pm - 7pm Spitfire Grill, 2219 4th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121 The Seattle region has been a growing hub for film, music and digital media over the past several years, and it is vital for these three communities to interact for our region to continue to thrive. This Happy Hour offers just such an environment for people from these industries to socialize, network, and build a unified community. To make these networking events happen, we partner with Washington Film Works, the Pacific Northwest Chapter of National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS - the Grammy folks!), and the Seattle Mayor's Office of Film & Music. ** Happy hour pricing on drinks and food – 21 and over only. This is a no-host happy hour. No RSVP required.
4th Annual Power of Play:The State of the State of the Industry Hosted by: WIN Save the Date! - December 9, 2010 A panel of industry executives will explore the state of our region’s $4.2 billion Interactive Media Industry including new trends and innovations coming our way; and the opportunities it creates for our region. At last year’s event, we released the interactive media cluster study that is currently in progress. This study looked at our region’s competitiveness compared with other areas in the US and Canada. To view last year’s event go to: www.PowerOfPlay2009.com. This year’s event will also include a two hour reception immediately following the Power of Play. The two events will be ticketed separately or can be purchased together. There will also be a press room where local industry can speak with the press about their holiday products. Over 200 attendees participate in the annual Power of Play event. However, the reach of this event goes far beyond the people in the room. Live streaming of this event last year brought over 200 additional viewers from all over the world. Most attendees comprise of executives from the game industry and will also include legislators, government officials, researchers, media, service providers, and community leaders. We’ve had excellent media coverage of this event in past years including the A.P. and local television, radio, and newspapers.
